Welcome to Lumb Carr Farm
Lumb Carr Road, Holcombe Brook, Bury, Lancashire
|
Lumb Carr Farm comprises three houses in the redevelopment of the existing 18th/19th century, Grade II listed farm buildings. Situated in the green belt in the Holcombe Hill conservation area, the farm buildings have been sympathetically restored, using the original materials and traditional features. The development was completed in early June 2006. The existing farmhouse and the former farm workers cottages have been joined together and enhanced with a newly built extension, to create a four bedroom house with a combination of styles. The former barn has been converted into two properties, the largest of which is four bedroom house with a galleried hall and dining room whose ceiling extends to roof height, incorporating existing oak beam timbers and including the existing former barn door openings. The smaller unit is a three bedroom property. All of the properties retain features from the existing buildings with new complimentary features made from reclaimed materials. Each property has a large garden area with the ability to take further land for the purposes of extending the garden. Garaging is provided and each of the barn properties has a glazed garden room as part of their garage block. Internally, the houses will be fitted with modern bathrooms and en-suite facilities and a modern, yet sympathetic, kitchen style including a range of Neff and Hotpoint appliances. |
